摘要

Zinc hydroxyfluoride (ZnOHF) is a useful nonmetal oxide and wide-band gap semiconductor whose nanostructures have been successfully synthesized by several methods for their applications in some areas. Herein, we summarized the main synthesis methods (such as hydrothermal, solution-based method, microwave irradiation, and electrodeposition) for various ZnOHF nanostructures, including nanonets, nanorod arrays, nanobesoms, nanofibers, and nanoflowers. The thermal stability and semiconducting properties (light absorption and light emission) of ZnOHF nanostructures, which are important for their applications in photoelectric and photoelectrochemical areas, are presented and discussed. Then, the application of ZnOHF nanostructure in quantum dot-sensitized solar cells is well stated and emphasized, and its potential applications are also highlighted in the conclusion.
