摘要
An off-lattice model of scalar harmonic vibrations in glasses was studied using Euclidean random matrix theory. The Brillouin peak (BP) was built from the hybridization of sound waves with high-frequency modes that get softer upon approaching the instability. It is found that the Brillouin peak of the dynamic structure factor corresponds to the propagation of sound waves in the glass.
