N2 - With the rapid research and development of skyrmionics in both theory and experiment, in particular the successful demonstration of the electrical functions, e.g., generation, motion, detection, and manipulation, a variety of skyrmionic devices and applications have been proposed recently, such as racetrack memory, neuromorphic computing, probabilistic computing, and reservoir computing. This chapter focuses on introducing unconventional applications of skyrmions through exploiting the unique characteristics that may be inaccessible to conventional electronic devices. These applications could bring large density storage and high energy-efficient computing.
