摘要

It is well known that up to now the cold droplets evaporating in hot continuous gas flames are treated as the mechanism of spray combustion both in RANS modeling, LES and point-particle DNS. However, still in the 50's years of the last century, experiments indicate that the spray combustion has different modes, including brush-like droplet diffusion flame-lets and cold droplets evaporating in blue gas flames. Many years ago, the first author of this paper gave theoretical analysis of two-mode spray combustion. In this paper the present authors suggest more reasonably simulate the two-mode spray combustion using a droplet ignition model and give the equations for multiphase turbulent reacting flows with two-mode spray combustion for future LES and RANS modeling.
