Turbulence modelling of deep dynamic stall at low Reynolds number

摘要

The unsteady separated turbulent flow around an oscillating airfoil pitching in a sinusoidal pattern in the regime of low Reynolds number is investigated numerically employing the URANS approach with two advanced turbulence models, namely the RNG k-ε mode and Transition SST model, and the DES approach based on the SST k-ω model. A comparison with experimental data shows that the SST k-ω based DES approach is superior to the employed URANS turbulence models and presents good agreement with the validation data. The flow development of the dynamic stall is discussed.
