abstract = "Carbon fiber/bismaleimide resin composite is widely used in aerospace and other fields because of its superior performance. However, due to uncertainties in using process, variety of defects and damages are produced inevitably. Making use of pyrolysis characteristics of bismaleimide resin, the researchers marked the damaged area while laminates separated at high temperature, and then by observing the macro and micro characteristics of layer morphology, the location and properties of damage were determined. In this paper, thermal deplying technology of carbon fiber reinforced bismaleimide resin laminates was described in detail, including the best ratio of hot soaking solution, the best pyrolysis temperature and holding time. Test verification for samples of typical defects was carried out, the results of which showed that the technology was effective and accurate to detect the damage of carbon fiber/bismaleimide resin laminates. Thermal deplying technology of carbon fiber reinforced bismaleimide resin laminates will play an important role in promoting the research of damage formation and performance degradation mechanism.",
