abstract = "We proposed a compact and efficient TE-pass polarizer in silicon-on-insulator(SOI) platform, which consist of polarization beam splitters (PBS), polarization rotators (PR) and polarization splitter-rotators (PSR). The transmission of transverse magnetic(TM) and transverse electric(TE) modes can reach 88.9\% and 98.6\% at the wavelength of 1550 nm, and the loss is less than 1.6 dB. The PR shows a high polarization conversion efficiency (PCE) of 98.2\% within a total device length of about 7.2 um. The device is much smaller than the general level of polarization devices, which can fulfill the polarization control in the integrated optical gyroscope (IOG).",
