Synthesis of monodispersed Au-PbS hybrid nanocrystals via a solid-liquid interfacial reaction

A facile solid-liquid interfacial synthetic strategy has been developed to synthesize Au-PbS hybrid nanocrystals via a thermolysis process. The size of the obtained Au-PbS hybrid nanocrystals could be tuned by varying the amounts of HAuCl ₄ introduced into the reaction system. A mutual inhibition of particle growth for both components in the hybrid nanocrystals has been observed during the synthetic process.
