N2 - The characteristics of international academic conference is analyzed specifically, the principle and process to design the organization structure and work breakdown structure (WBS) of international academic conference are proposed on the basis of the theory of event management and work breakdown structure in project management. Then the reference organization structure and general WBS of international academic conference are built. Finally, the actual value of the research is showed by being applied into the 38th International Conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering (CIE) and generating the specific responsibility matrix .A suitable way for the majority of international academic organizations can be attempted to explore to make the organization of international academic conference more subtle, specific, greater controllability.
