abstract = "IMU is used to provide shipborne weapon systems with accurate attitude reference and to monitor deck deformation real time. It has been of great practical value and is worth to researching further to optimize the location and number of IMU. The principle of multi-IMU layout optimization is presented as well as the mathematical model is created, and the IMU layout optimization is solved using Genetic Algorithm. The simulation results show that the number of IMU for shipborne weapon systems is decreased. The layout of shipborne IMU is an important factor which impacts the estimation accuracy of deck deformation and the estimation accuracy is improved greatly by IMU layout optimization.",
