摘要

Employing the field-induced carrier multiplication through impact ionization, we demonstrate the first remarkable terahertz frequency tunable metamaterial whose local-gap is narrowed down to 15 nm to gain more than 5000 near-field enhancement, which opens way for nano-optoelectronics.
