State of the art of minimally invasive surgery and navigation technology in orthopaedics

The navigation technology is one of the basic technologies in the minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery. With the help of the navigation system, the surgeon could accomplish the pre-operative planning and simulation, and also could implement the intra-operative monitoring and interference. Consequently the surgeon could accomplish the different types of complicated operations conveniently, quickly and efficiently. Through the survey of the features of the orthopaedic surgery and the state of the art of the navigation technology, new concept of therapy and new scheme of operation were promoted. Issues of clinical research were analyzed, and the features and trend of the orthopaedic navigation surgery were also researched.
