摘要
Flying wings get rid of horzontal tail and vertical tail in order to reduce RCS, but the changes of configuration lead to lots of new characteristics. The longitudinal and lateral-directional stability of the low aspect-ratio flying wing in several typical conditions was researched, including static stability and dynamic stability. And effects of configuration and flight conditions on the stability features of flying wings were especially analyzed, comparing with conventional-configuration aircrafts. Also the exact reasons of the unstable short-period mode and Dutch-roll mode were specially presented.
