摘要
As a kind of social media, micro-blogging service provides an interaction platform for users to share their interests. Lots of popular events are emerging every day. But how does an event in micro-blogging become popular? We argue that it is the users' interaction effect which is one of the behaviors of intelligence of crowd that urges the evolution of the event. However, with the decreasing of the interaction effect, the event would gradually becomes unpopular. The social interaction effect which reflects the strength of the interactions includes two important factors: user profile and interaction frequency. In this paper, we propose a social interaction graph incorporating these two factors. A topological potential method is used to calculate the interaction effect from the interaction graph. Then, several experiments are designed to analyze the interaction effect in an event. The results show that social interaction is of great importance to the popularity of an event.
