Simulation and experiment of rectangular electrical capacitance tomography sensor for gas-solid two phase flow measurement

摘要

A rectangular electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) sensor has been designed and used to measure the solid grain concentration distribution in the cross-section in the inlet of the cyclone separator for a supper-critical pressure circulating fluidised bed (CFB). The ECT sensor has twelve electrodes with two in each short side and four in each long side. For image reconstruction, sensitivity maps have been calculated using the simulation package, Maxwell from Ansoft. Static test results are analysed in terms of standard deviation and image error. The optimized operation parameters (V p-p and Frequency) for the rectangular ECT sensor based on AC-ECT system are given in the paper. Dynamic test results of cyclone separator inlet in CFB are given in the end of the paper. The results prove that the proposed sensor can be used for the direct measurement at the inlet of the cyclone separator in a supper-critical pressure circulating fluidised bed. The measured results can be a reference for improving the arrangement of cyclone separator.
