RS/GIS-based regional evaluation of landslide hazard risk: A case study of Guangchang County, Jiangxi Province

Landslide is one of the common geological disasters in the southern China. Understanding and analyzing the disaster-breeding environment and disaster-formative factors of landslide are of importance for landslide forecast and rescue after the landslide. Combining factors extracted from ALOS images and multi-factors analysis of these factors, a landslide risk evaluation model was made using GIS analysis method. This model was applied to Guangchang, Jiangxi Province to extract the landslide risk areas, which were then classified. The results are basically in agreement with field survey data.
