摘要

The coupling of super luminescent diode (SLD) and taperd fiber was analyzed, as well as how the parameters such as coupling distance, offset and the angle of the taperd fiber affected the coupling efficiency was simulated with beam propagation method (BPM). It can be showed from the results of simulations and experiments that the coupling theory is applicable in the coupling of SLD and taperd fiber. The coupling efficiency can be improved by selecting appropriate parameters. The effectiveness of the method presented is verified by the result of simulations and experiments.
