N2 - k-out-of-n voting systems is widely used in industrial and military fields, and is very common in electronic, mechanical, computer and complex large-scale systems, as a redundancy design to improve the reliability of the system. Two-dimensional voting system is a special form with planar voting logic structure, which is widely used in engineering practice in safety monitoring system, electronic device design, pattern monitoring and other fields. However, there is no analytical equation to calculate the reliability of the system in the existing researches on two-dimensional voting system. Under considering the actual demand in engineering, based on the method of minimum cut sets and the method of minimization algorithm, the failure logic of the two-dimensional voting system is modeled and analyzed. Finally, the reliability calculation equation of two-dimensional voting system in typical state is established, and verified by an example of small-scale system. The results show that the calculated results are in good agreement with the simulation results when the system working time is short.
