N2 - Existing studies on epistemic uncertainty only focus on simple multi-state systems and do not research applications in balanced systems. Besides, the balance degree threshold needs to be considered in the modeling of performance-based balanced systems. In this paper, a reliability assessment method of performance-based balanced systems with common bus performance sharing is proposed considering epistemic uncertainty and balance degree threshold. Firstly, an algorithm is used to describe the rebalancing process, then the system reliability model is constructed according to the definition of the balanced system. Secondly, confidence in the state of the components at any given moment is given by a modified Markov model combined with the mass function. Then, the universal generating function (UGF) method is used to evaluate the uncertainty reliability of the system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through a case study and the influence of parameters on the system reliability is researched.
