摘要
The influence of Fe content on the properties of TiC-Al2O3/Fe composites prepared by SHS/PHIP was studied. The results show that the TiC-Al2O3/Fe cermets prepared by SHS/PHIP possess high mechanical properties such as well-improved flexural strength and fracture toughness owing to the addition of Fe, and high specific stiffness. The TiC-Al2O3 ceramics exhibit the typical brittle fracture behavior. However, the TiC-Al2O3/Fe cermets exhibit obvious tough fracture characteristics when the Fe content is increased.
