摘要

Resilience describes the ability of the system to withstand and recover from the disturbance. It is measured based on system performance, which is usually with multi states. In this paper, the literatures on preventive maintenance (PM) are systematically reviewed. The selection of PM intervals has effect on the cost, availability, reliability and resilience of the system. A Monte-Carlo based simulation procedure is given to compare different PM intervals. A typical computer cluster system is used in our case study, the simulation statistical results reveal how different PM intervals affect the above four factors of the system, and also show the advantages of taking resilience into the consideration in this problem.
