摘要
For the purpose of fabricating materials with a good “self-sharpening” capacity, the tungsten fiber reinforced Cu-Zn matrix composite was successfully fabricated by the pressureless infiltration method, and the microstructure of the prepared composite was investigated. To investigate the anisotropic mechanical properties, the quasi-static and the dynamic compressive deformation behaviors of the composite in different loading directions were investigated. The angles between the loading direction and the tungsten fiber orientation are 0°, 45° and 90°, respectively. The failure mechanisms of the composite loaded in different directions were investigated systematically. Finally, the “self-sharpening” capacity of the composite was investigated by a ballistic impact experiment, and the mechanism of the “self-sharpening” capacity was discussed.
