摘要

Reconfiguration is the one of the most important operations for formation flying in space missions. The paper deals with the reconfiguration problem for Earth-orbiters formation on the basis of finite element methodology. The reconfiguration is transformed to the optimal problem with the constraint of collision avoidance during a series of splitted time elements, where the nodes of the elements are the places for maneuvers implementation. The simulation to generate a typical desired formation from five distributed spacecrafts is employed to validate the performance of the presented method. This method is quite suitable for many kinds of reconfiguration due to its aiming at the essence of the reconfiguration.
