Optimization and Investigation of Radial-flux Permanent Magnet Micromotor Utilizing MEMS 3D Solenoid Coils with Iron Core

摘要

This paper optimizes the radial-flux permanent magnet micromotor used in high power-density micro-actuators. There are some urgent problems found in actual manufacturing of the micromotor. Therefore, we analyze the problems and optimize the design of the micromotor. Then we calculate and simulate the optimized micromotor. For the optimized micromotor, we show the manufacturing advantages of easier processing and application, and we show the better performance. The diameter of the micromotor is 20 mm, and the height is 2mm. The operating temperature reaches 88 °C. The iron core magnetic density is close to the saturation of 1.8 T, which reflects the high iron core utilization rate. The optimized micromotor increases the rated torque of 174.6% and the total efficiency of 44.3%.
