Optically Transparent Broadband All-Dielectric Water-Based Metasurface Microwave Absorber Based on Composited Cylindrical Structure

摘要

Controlling the absorptivity and transmissivity at different frequency bands has great importance in microwave and optical camouflage for both civil and military applications. In this paper, the ultra-broadband water-based metasurface absorber is designed with all-dielectric design, which is fabricated with optically transparent materials polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and structured water. The high absorption over 90 % of this ground-free structure is achieved from 12.8 to 33.8 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 90 %. This easy-to-fabricate design can be obtained by stacking the PMMA substrate after laser cutting method. The design offers a simpler and available promising way to achieve optically transparent and ultra-broadband microwave absorption for metamaterial absorbers.
