摘要
Experiments were carried out to investigate the two-photon absorption (TPA)-induced photocurrent in GaAs waveguides generated in response to chirped pulses and to spectrally coded pseudonoise bursts. The TPA data were compared to second-harmonic generation (SHG) results. Performing experiments with complicated waveforms and also comparing to SHG data, enabled to validate the use of TPA photodetectors both for the desired ultrafast intensity discrimination function and for pulsewidth measurements.
