New identification method for mechanical support properties from measured modal parameters

摘要

In general,the dynamic behavior of a mechanical system is strongly affected by the properties of mechanical support. An identification method which directly uses measured modal parameters to identify the support properties is introduced in this paper. The theory and computational method are discussed. Because the incompleteness of measured modal parameters and the unavoidable measurement errors in practice may lead to faulty results, an iterative process has been adopted especially to solve these problems in the proposed method. The new method is verified and demonstrated by numerical simulation and experiments. The results show that the support properties can be identified accurately from the measured modal parameters by means of the method in the paper.
