Multi-region transmission congestion management based on distributed optimal power flow algorithm

摘要

Multi-regions transmission congestion is solved using auxiliary problem principle (APP) and sequential quadratic programming (SQP). An optimal method of optimal power flow (OPF) in large-scale interconnected power grids is investigated. A decomposition collaborative model is analyzed and coupled constraints are solved based on APP. The computation of large power grid is decomposed into multi-regions subproblems. The distributed OPF algorithm is used to eliminate the congestion of across areas. The problem of congestion can be described as the optimal problem that the adjustment cost is minimal. Multi-regions congestion management problem can be decomposed into multi-regions subproblems, which can be solved as SQP. The IEEE RTS-96 with three interconnected regions is studied to illustrate the effect of the proposed approach and reveal that it has a bright future for the application in interconnected power system.
