Large-eddy simulation of laminar separation bubble transition under adverse pressure gradient

摘要

A large-eddy simulation (LES) code was developed to deal with compressible flows with complex geometry boundaries by finite volume method (FVM) and it was validated by the computation of turbulent channel flow. Laminar separation bubble transition under low Reynolds number and adverse pressure gradient conditions was simulated and analyzed. The statistical characteristics and instantaneous flow field, especially the evolution of large scale coherent structures were presented. Numerical results indicated that LES was capable of computing laminar separation bubble, which provided not only satisfactory statistical results, but also fine descriptions of coherent structures evolution.
