Key technologies for the construction of manufacturing cloud

The construction process of "manufacturing cloud" in a Cloud Manufacturing (CMfg) system was investigated, as well as several key technologies involved in the construction process. Related illustration about manufacturing cloud and cloud service were described, and CMfg resources were classified in detail. Several key issues such as resources aware, virtual accessing, and deployment of cloud services were studied. A meta-model for describing manufacturing capability was put forward, which can support efficient and intelligent running of CMfg systems. A prototype of cloud service platform for complex product design and simulation was developed according to the proposed method.
