Integrated method for ballistic limit equations of double plate under hypervelocity impact

摘要

Many ballistic limit equations have been developed to evaluate the safety of double plate under hypervelocity impact. The equations need to be improved because each equation can only be used to evaluate penetration for a specific set of parameters. Integrated method was achieved to establish the ballistic limit equations of double plate. The general expression of ballistic limit equations was set up with dimension analysis, simulation model was designed with univariate searchtechnique, the ballistic limit was achieved with simulation and the parameters in the general expression were established with linear regression method. Finally, the coefficients were modified with test data and the ballistic limit equations of double plate were established. Compared with the experiment, which shows the equations achieved have better precision to evaluate the ballistic limit of double plate.
