摘要
The detection performance with high resolution radar (HRR) is of great importance for target recognition and imaging. This work addresses the problem of target detection using different bands (VHF and L) with different bandwidths. Single -pulse and non-coherent integration methods are used. The impact of both frequency band and the waveform bandwidth on HRR target detection is analyzed. Simulation results demonstrate that the radar bandwidth performs much more important roles than the frequency band. With the detection probability of 90%, bandwidth 25 MHz and bandwidth 200 MHz comparing, and the required inputting signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) differs 5 dB. It is also shown that, with equivalent total energy, detection performance of the HRR is superior to conventional LRR.
