N2 - Nanoscale structures in solar cell are attracting an increasing amount of attention due to their great potential in improving the conversion efficiency. One method was introduced by John R. Tumbleston et al.to use photonic crystal (PC) structures in the active layer to enhance the light absorption by trapping light as leaky modes [1]. Antireflection coatings (ARCs) of moth-eye nanostructures have also been utilized to improve the conversion efficiencies of solar cell, which would absorb light with both broadband and broad angle [2]. Here, we present a novel hybrid organic solar cell(OSC) that integrate the moth-eye and PC structure. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed structure is able to improve the conversion efficiency in a broadband.
