abstract = "Development of practical and verifiable prognostic approaches for service life of gas turbine engine bearings will play a critical role in improving the reliability and safety of aircraft engines. The Grade-life of bearings is determined by fusion of Physics-based Grade-life (PGL) and Empirical Grade-life (EGL) based on Fuzzy Logic Inference, which reduces the uncertainty{\textquoteright}s affection towards prediction results of the analytic model. The combination of health monitoring data and model-based techniques of the Grade-life model provides a scientific, reliable, and unique method to evaluate the lifetime of the aero-engine bearing. Finally, bearing test stand run-to-failure data is used to verify the approach.",
