摘要

Ocean research currently relies on the use of bulky biotags and sensory telemetry networks. Therefore, in this study, a flexible biotag is developed for underwater conductivity, temperature, depth, and strain (CTDS) sensing. Unlike invasive biotags, this flexible waterproof sensor can be conformally attached to the body surface of aquatic animals. The kirigami-inspired design endows this device with superior mechanical stretchability and suppressed crosstalk of animal movement on sensor measurement accuracy. As a proof-of-concept demonstration, a flexible electronic tag is attached to the crucian carp tail to monitor its tail swing. The flexible biotag provides an innovative method for the multimodal detection of marine ecological environments and animal behaviors.
