Fiber Interface Failure Analysis Based on Cohesion Model

摘要

Optical fiber communication is one of the most widely used signal transmission methods nowadays, and it is used more and more frequently in spacecraft. Because the spacecraft will experience high and low temperature cyclic changes during its orbit operation, there will be interface damage between the coating and cladding inside the fiber. In this paper, based on the characteristics of fiber structure and cohesion model, the cohesive force unit in ABAQUS is used to simulate the interface damage of fiber structure in high and low temperature environment. The main contribution of this paper is giving the failure mechanism and failure model of optical fiber interface, providing theoretical support for the lifetime analysis of optical fiber interface.
