摘要
Fe81Ga19 magnetostrictive alloy rods were prepared by quenching from melt into the GaIn cooling media. The optical microscopy observations showed that fine columnar grains grew along the radial direction of the Fe81Ga19 rod. The [110] texture along the axial direction of the rod was detected from XRD pole figure. Thermal analysis (DSC, TG) and XRD showed that the alloy mainly comprised a disordered A2 type phase (bcc) before and after heat treatment. A magnetic transition was monitored at about 690°C for both the quenched and heat treated samples, consistent with the Curie temperature of A2 phase. With increasing axial pressure in the range of 0-50 MPa, the saturation magnetostrictions increased from 66 × l0-6 to 115 × 10-6.
