Fault diagnosis of bearing failure to hydraulic pump

The cepstrum envelope analysis is applied to solving the problem of the diagnosis of bearing failure to hydraulic pumps. At first the cepstrum envelope model is described. Then the vibration spectra of the normal pump and the pump with a bearing failure are compared in frequency domain and in cepstrum envelope domain. It is found that there is a great difference between the normal pump and the pump with the bearing failure in cepstrum envelope domain. On the contrary, the frequency spectrum of the fault pump makes no difference to the normal pump. So using cepstrum envelope method it is possible to diagnose bearing failures.
