Far Field Reconstruction from Phaseless Hemispherical Near Field Using Dipole Equivalence

摘要

This paper introduce a novel method to reconstruct the far-field radiation pattern of antennas placed above a large metal plane, from phaseless near-field electric field sampled on a single hemisphere. It utilizes spherical equivalent dipoles as equivalent sources and employs the Linear Correlation Residue (LCR) as the cost function. It is demonstrated that through the iterative search using the Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy (CMA-ES) to minimize LCR, far-field radiation patterns could be efficiently reconstructed from the amplitude-only hemispherical near-field electric field. An example is provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the algorithm.
