摘要

In order to avoid the effect of the multi-component property of fuel, hexadecane is used to represent diesel fuel. The evaporation characteristics of 30% benzyl azide-hexadecane droplets at differernt temperatures are experimentally investigated using suspended droplet device. The results shows that, owning to no decomposition reaction of azides, the evaporation processes of 30% benzyl azide-hexadecane and droplet are basically same at 423 K, which includes two evaporation phases. The occurrence of decomposition reaction leads the evaporation characteristics of 30% benzyl azide-hexadecane droplet change at 723 K and puffing can be observed during the evaporation process, which leads the droplet lifetime decrease. Meanwhile, with the increase of ambient temperature, it can be concluded that the faster evaporation during Δtbah2 is the main reason that caused the shorter droplet lifetime.
