Experimental and numerical study on temperature variation and air flow distribution in trapped votex combustor

摘要

To investigate the wall temperature variation of trapped vortex combustor for future combustors material selection and air distribution optimization, combustion experiments have been employed in variety inlet conditions and different air to fuel ratios. The results of the experiment indicate that the highest wall temperature appeared on afterwall in single vortex combustor and the highest wall temperature zone changed with the change of the air to fuel ratios in double vortex combustor. Meanwhile, some simulation work was carried out to obtain the air flow distribution in the cavity.
