摘要

Temporal characters of a Yb³⁺-doped double clad fiber laser with cw or pulse pumped are reported. By exploiting fiber stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) process in the laser cavity, pulse width of 100 μs can be compressed with 4.8s level, the compression factor is 2.08×10⁴. At the end of the letter, the phenomena was qualitatively analyzed.
