摘要
A electrodeposited composit (EDC) coating is fabricated on Ti-6Al-4V alloys via cathodic co-deposition. The surface of EDC coating is smooth with densely distributed nanoparticles. The EDC coating is stable in corrosive media because, combining the results of comprehensive coating characterizations and electron transfer theories, its activation energy of electron transfer reaction is higher than that of the native oxide film, contributing to the decreased electron transfer constant, which eventually restrains electrode reactions and results in an enormously improvement of corrosion resistance for Ti-6Al-4V alloys.
