N2 - Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) combined with moving targets indication has attracted much attention in both civil and military applications. As an important issue, the chirp rate of moving targets estimation plays a key role in moving targets imaging and then recognition. Conventionally, the searching-based method introduces the hard tradeoff between estimation accuracy and computation complexity. Different from this, a novel method is proposed by not searching but computing. And the geometry information in the transformed domain is exploited to reduce the computation complexity from O(MN) to O(2N). Simulation and real data experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
