摘要
The aim of this paper was to investigate the effects of hip joint force and muscle forces on the finite element analysis results using CT-based finite element models of human femur. For the whole femur model (Model I), hip joint force and muscle forces were exerted. For the proximal femur model (Model II), the hip joint forces that had the same magnitude but different acting areas were exerted. The results show that the force of Gluteus medius has the greatest effect on the femur stress distribution, and when the hip joint forces that have the same magnitude but different acting areas were exerted, the larger the acting area, the smaller the von Mises stress magnitudes of the elements, and at the position of applied loads, this trend was particularly evident. This study is the basis for the simplification of the loadings in the prediction of femur strength using subject-specific finite element analysis.
