摘要
Structural stability has a very important effect on the stress induced martensitic transformation in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy owing to its metastable nature. In the present study, we reported the stress induced martensitic transformation characteristics of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al specimens with different structural stability endowed by heat treatments. Despite different phase constitutions and morphologies derived by solution treatments in single β phase region and α+β phase region, these specimens exhibit relatively low structural stability and double yielding behavior due to stress induced martensitic transformation. In comparison with the solution treatments in single β phase region, solution treatments in α+β phase region give rise to higher structural stability and triggering stress for stress induced martensitic transformation. Although numerous nanoscale ω particles are distributed in the β matrix of solution treated specimens before and after tensile deformation, Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy demonstrate excellent ductility and toughness. The universal expressions for describing the relationship between β matrix and ω phase in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy can be given as follows: {11¯1}β//{001}ω and <011>β//<100>ω.
