N2 - Control chart is a key tool to monitor status of the process, improving product quality and reducing costs. Economic design of control chart has been widely used in studies of lean production in order to implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) based quality control process. In this paper, according to small offset high sensitivity to monitor process, the economic model of CUSUM was designed based on the classic model of Duncan. The average loss function was gained by considering PM and quality loss. According to the fitness function, let n, h, K, w, H, be the decision variables. The optimal design parameters was determined by using genetic algorithms and numerical experiments. The model can be used to estimate the cost of the loss of the high sensitivity of quality control and reduce the risk of production process, and it is more practical and comprehensive, while improving the small offset monitoring force.
