摘要
A new Time-of-Flight (ToF) system with streak camera has been developed to determine the mass and energy of a heavy ion. This is first instance of application of the principle of the streak camera for a ToF detector of heavy ions. The performance test of a streak camera system was also carried out using a 10B and 12C beams of energy 2.5A MeV. The operating principle of the new ToF detector for heavy ion detection, the expected time resolution, and the results of performance test are presented.
