摘要

A a five-hole pressure probe is designed, which is capable of measuring the same angular range as the 18- or 17-hole probe, but with smaller size and better frequency response. The reduction of holes also benefits manufacturing. The basic idea of this design is to place the probe at four angular positions and obtain 17 pressure data for a single-point measurement. The major disadvantage for this five-hole probe is that more experiment time is required, and the target flowfield can only be steady or periodically unsteady. The five-hole probe developed in the study is completely based on the 17-hole probe.
