摘要
This paper presents the design of a wide-beam left-hand circularly polarized (LHCP) microstrip patch antenna at a center frequency of 14.5GHz and its array configuration. The antenna consists of a square microstrip patch integrated with parasitic elements, where the addition of parasitic patches effectively extends the 3 dB beamwidth. To enhance gain, an 8x8 array is constructed by arranging 16 identical 2x2 sequential rotation feeding (SRF) subarrays in a 4x4 grid configuration. Simulation results demonstrate that at 14.5GHz, the 3 dB beamwidth exceeds 169° in both the Phi = 0° and Phi = 90° planes. The 8x8 array achieves a peak gain of 22.29 dB. With its simple structure and ease of fabrication, this design is well-suited for satellite communication and data transmission systems requiring wide angular coverage. Simulation and optimization are performed by electromagnetic simulation software Ansoft HFSS.
